Shettima Visits Borno Bomb Blast Victims, Vows Action Against Terrorists
Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has visited victims of the recent bomb blast in Maiduguri, assuring them of the Federal Government’s commitment to end terrorism and support affected families.
According to Punch Newspaper, the Vice President met with injured victims receiving treatment and condoled with families who lost their loved ones in the attack. He described the incident as tragic and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to strengthen security across the North-East.
Daily Star Nigeria gathered that Shettima promised decisive action against terrorists, stressing that those responsible for the attack would not go unpunished.
He also commended security agencies for their continued efforts in combating insurgency, noting that more strategies would be deployed to prevent further attacks in the region.
Punch Newspaper reported that the Vice President further assured victims of increased government support, including medical care and humanitarian assistance, as part of efforts to bring relief and restore stability in Borno State.
