Tinubu, King Charles Share Royal Carriage Ride to Windsor Castle
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rode alongside King Charles III in a ceremonial carriage procession to Windsor Castle, marking a major highlight of his state visit to the United Kingdom.
At the same time, Queen Camilla accompanied Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in a separate royal carriage as part of the formal event.
Daily Star Nigeria gathered that the colourful procession was part of the traditional activities lined up for a state visit, including a royal welcome, military honours, and a parade through Windsor, reflecting the strong diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and the UK.
The visit is considered historic, as it marks the first time in nearly 37 years that a Nigerian leader is undertaking a state visit to the United Kingdom, making it one of the most significant diplomatic engagements between both countries in recent years.
